The Fitzroy Room - Fantastic Room

The Fitzroy Room is one of our two Fantastic rooms at Parker Cottage. It features a ‘Princess and the Pea’ style bed (remember the fairy tale?), purpose-made for the room, which is either a twin or a King-sized four poster. There's the original marble mantlepiece surround the wood burning fireplace and lots of room to spread out and relax in the two Louis XVI style armchairs (not shown in these photos, sorry!)
It faces out on to the garden of the guesthouse through two enormous sash windows (which are over 2 metres high) so it's light and airy. The Fitzroy Room is situated away from the front door and the dining room, making it quiet and secluded. The bathroom has a ball-and-claw bath and a separate shower and we provide you with free bubble bath and crystals for a really good soak! 

The whole room is decorated in a wonderfully decadent Victorian style, with the odd tongue-in-cheek touch to keep the atmosphere fun and light at the same time as luxurious. This is one of our flagship guesthouse rooms for a special occasion or once-in-a-lifetime holiday.
